Resumption of the Test & Go Scheme and Latest Entry Measures

The overall global situation of the latest spread of the Omicron variant is similar to the
situation in Thailand.  Although there has been a spike in infections, the situation is under control. The increase in the number of confirmed cases is at a manageable rate, therefore, the Center
for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has agreed to adjust the following measures.

1. Test & Go Registration will resume on 1 February 2022

Test & Go scheme will re-open for registration from 1 February 2022. Travelers from all countries and
territories will be eligible to apply for the scheme (not only the 63 countries as previously designated).
Travelers can register under Thailand Pass System via https://tp.consular.go.th/

The RT-PCR test will be required twice.
– on the first day of arrival (day1)
– on day 5 of arrival

Required documents to apply for a Test & Go scheme
– Proof of SHA++ hotel booking for day 1 and day 5*
– Confirmed payment for the SHA++ hotel and confirmed payment of the two RT-PCE tests
– A certificate of vaccination or vaccine passport
– Health Insurance healthcare and treatment expenses for COVID-19 per applicant for the whole
duration in Thailand with coverage clearly identified as no less than USD $50,000

*These hotels can be different hotels to accommodate the possibility that one may be traveling to other
places between day 1 and day 5.

*The negative RT-PCR Test taken not over 72 hours before the flight’s departure time will still be
required to check in for the flight.

2. Reduction of the Self-Quarantine Period

Due to the improving situation, the CCSA has approved to reduce the recommended self-quarantine
for high-risk persons from 10 to 7 days, followed by 3 days of self-monitoring. Antigen test must be taken
on days 5 or 6 and 10.

3. Expansion of Sandbox Areas

Starting from 1 February 2022, Sandbox areas will be expanded including:
– Ko Chang (Trat Province)
– Banglamung, Pattaya, Sriracha, Ko Sichang, and Sattahip (Chonburi Province)
Travelers who wish to visit these areas under the Sandbox scheme will be able to register in the
Thailand pass system.

4. New COVID-19 Zoning Categories, starting from 24 January 2022

Controlled Areas (44 Provinces)
Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Chanthaburi, Chachoengsao. Chumphon, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Trang, Trat, Tak,
Nakhon Nayok, Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nan, Buriram, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Prachinburi,
Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Phayao, Phatthalung, Phetchaburi, Maha Sarakham, Mukdahan, Mae Hong
Son, Yasothon, Roi Et, Ranong, Rayong, Ratchaburi, Lopburi, Sisaket, Songkhla, Satun, Samut Prakarn,
Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon, Sa Kaeo, Saraburi, Suratthani, Surin, Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Ubon
Ratchathani

High Surveillance Area (25 Provinces)
Kamphaeng Phet, Chai Nat, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Sawan, Narathiwat, Bueng Kan,
Pattani, Phichit, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Phrae, Yala, Lampang, Lamphun, Loei, Sakon Nakhon,
Singburi, Sukhothai, Suphanburi, Nongbua Lamphu, Ang Thong, Amnat Charoen, Uttaradit, Uthai
Thani

Pilot Tourism Sandbox Area (8 Provinces)
Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Krabi, Chonburi, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Phang Nga, Phuket
Restaurants and eateries in the controlled areas can still resume normal operating hours but the
consumption of alcoholic beverages remains prohibited while dining and drinking alcoholic
beverages in the stores are allowed in the high surveillance areas and pilot tourism & sandbox area.

5. Work from Home Policy

From 1 February 2022, ‘Work from Home’ in Thailand will become non-compulsory and will be
implemented as deemed appropriate by each agency or employer. For Thailand Privilege Card Co.

6. EPA Services recommended for travel under Thailand Pass System

Elite Personal Assistant (EPA) service is strongly recommended for Thailand Elite Members who are entering the country using Thailand Pass System. Our EPA officers will facilitate members with fast-
track immigration formality and will help coordinate with the hotel’s representative at the airport.
