1. The End of Covid-19 Emergency Decree and The Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration
(CCSA)
Thailand’s Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has announced the end of the
nationwide Covid-19 Emergency Decree on 30 September 2022, as well as its operations.
From 1 October 2022, all regulations, announcements, and orders issued by the Prime Minister and the Cabinet under the decree will be revoked, and Thailand will reclassify Covid-19 from dangerous
communicable disease to a communicable disease under surveillance.
The CCSA added that international travelers to Thailand will no longer be required to show proof of
vaccination or antigen test results from 1 October 2022 onwards.
To keep updated on the future changes of the regulation, it is advised to check the website of the Royal
Thai Embassy (RTE) or the Royal Thai Consulate-General (RTCG) in your country before visiting Thailand.
Although entry requirements will be removed, we would like to encourage our members to take
appropriate precautions and follow protective measures.
2. Long Holidays in October 2022
There are three holidays in October 2022 as follows:
* October 13: H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great Memorial Day
* October 14: Additional special holiday announced by the government
* October 24: Substitution for Chulalongkorn Day (Sunday 23 October 2022)
During the long holidays of October 2022, the Immigration Offices throughout the country will be closed and it may affect some members whose due date for the 90-day reporting falls during this period. This may also affect our new members who wish to affix Thailand Elite Visa at the Immigration Bureau in Bangkok.
To prevent late report penalty fees, please always check your due date for the 90-day reporting and the stay extension. Kindly be reminded that it is a foreigner’s responsibility to check and ensure that he/she is not overstaying and in due time for 90-day reporting.
