As the winter season approaches, many are stunned by the latest increase in power bills.

The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine and OPEC’s decision to gradually reduce oil production output resulted in to increase in fuel prices for frigid homes.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has increased food and gas prices in the United States, contributing to the development of economic headwinds.

There are individuals who are ready to pack things up and go to places with better weather and easier living conditions.

In Phuket, which is located in southern Thailand, hotel rates are still relatively affordable, and a drink before dinner at a beachfront restaurant is more enticing than ever.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has quickly seized the opportunity to attract tourists eager to escape the cold and rising cost of living in Europe.

Certainly, it will cost more to travel to Thailand from the majority of the world, but Thailand hopes that the savings on hotel bookings, restaurants, and excursions will compensate for the higher price.

Currently, the Thailand government has visa programs such as Thailand Elite Visa in an effort to attract foreigners to have a long-term stay in the country.  Thailand invites retirees, and wealthy persons to make Thailand their second home for up to 20 years.

Next year, the tourism authority anticipates that both short and long-haul tourists will extend their stays.

The governor of TAT, Yuthasak Supasorn, said, “We must focus on the quality of our visitors, especially those who frequently visit Thailand and stay long-term in the country.”
