Yes, Thailand Elite was rebranded as Thailand Privilege on October 1, 2023. The rebranding included changes to the program’s name, logo, and membership packages.

The Thailand Elite Visa program offers foreign nationals extended stays in Thailand. The visa allows holders to stay in Thailand longer than the typical tourist visa allows. The program offers different packages with varying benefits and durations, ranging from 5 to 20 years.

To acquire the Thailand Elite Visa, complete an application form through the program’s portal. After the screening, the successful applicant will receive their visa and enjoy an extended stay in Thailand.

Benefits include staying up to one year in Thailand without making exits to satisfy regular visa requirements, five-year validity with multiple entries allowed, and access to the Elite Personal Liaison Service, which lets your assistant make an appearance for you after 90 days as per immigration rules.

Applicants must hold a legal foreign passport, must not have a deportation record in any country, must not have an overstay record in Thailand, must not have been declared a person of unsound mind, incompetence, or quasi-incompetence, and must not have been sentenced by a judgment of imprisonment in any country except for an offense committed through negligence.

The Bronze Membership is the most affordable package, priced at 650,000 Thai Baht and valid for five (5) years.

The Thailand Elite Visa offers two exclusive 5-year membership options tailored to enhance your stay in Thailand. The Bronze Membership is available at 650,000 Thai Baht, providing essential visa services without Privilege Points.

For those seeking more luxurious benefits, the Gold Membership package, priced at 900,000 Thai Baht, includes 20 Privilege Points annually that can be redeemed for a variety of privileges, ensuring a premium experience throughout your stay.

The 10-year Thailand Elite Visa, also known as the Platinum package, is priced at 1.5 million Thai Baht and includes 35 Privilege Points annually, which can be redeemed for various privileges. For a comprehensive overview, refer to the Platinum Membership package.

The 15-year Thailand Elite Visa, known as the Diamond membership, is priced at 2.5 million Thai Baht and includes 55 Privilege Points annually.  For more details, it’s recommended to check out the Diamond Membership package.

The 20-year Thailand Elite Visa, identified as the Reserve Membership package, comes with 5 million Thai Baht and 120 Privilege Points annually, which can be redeemed for various privileges. Once submitted, your application will go through a screening process. If approved, you will receive an invoice for the membership fee. After payment, you will receive your membership details and visa.

There is no application fee.

These documents may be submitted by email or by post.

Payments for Thailand Elite Privilege Visa applications must be made directly from the visa applicant’s bank account. If payment comes from a different account, the visa applicant’s name must be specified in the transaction details. An escrow service is also available for applicants who cannot make the full payment at once due to daily transfer limits.

The Elite Privilege Visa can be affixed upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, upon arrival at Phuket Airport, at Chaeng Wattana Immigration Office, or at a local Thai embassy in the applicant’s country of residence.

You can open either a local Thai baht account or a foreign currency account. Foreign currency accounts are only available with certain banks and in certain locations in Thailand.

Yes. Thailand Elite Privilege Visa membership allows you to open an account with a local bank. You must present your membership letter, membership card, and passport.

There is no requirement to provide a bank statement when applying for an Elite Visa.

To legally work in Thailand, obtaining a work permit is necessary. Holders of an elite visa cannot secure a work permit.

Thailand Elite Privilege Visa members can apply for a credit card through Bangkok Bank. They must present a passport, membership card or membership letter, and open a fixed deposit account with a minimum deposit of THB 50,000.

Anyone with a tourist visa can transition to Thailand Elite Visa, provided they haven’t overstayed their current visa.

Yes. All applicants can apply for a Thailand Elite Visa regardless of location.

Thailand Elite Privilege Visa members going to Thailand are not required to have health insurance or COVID insurance.

Your Thailand Elite Visa will have a validity that reflects the remaining validity of your passport. If your passport is valid for three more years, your visa will only be valid for three more years and reset after renewal.

No. You have to make your exit and face the penalties imposed before you can apply for membership.

Yes. Depending on your current membership, you may be able to extend or upgrade to a higher package before your current membership expires.

Special Entry Visa holders must make a report every three (3) months with the Immigration authorities. As for Privilege Visa Entry holders, it can be done once every 365 days.

Email your flight details so Elite Personal Assistants can be arranged upon your arrival or departure. You may also request Elite Personal Assistant service if you have only a short layover in Thailand.

Failure to complete required reporting may lead to penalties. Overstay penalties may include a fine of THB 500 per day, up to THB 20,000, and possible entry bans depending on the length of the overstay.

Yes. Thailand Elite Visa holders can buy or rent property in Thailand under the same rules that apply to other foreigners. Foreigners may own condominium units subject to foreign ownership limits, but they cannot directly own land. They may rent land or houses for up to 30 years, subject to applicable law.

A volunteer visa will disqualify you from the Thailand Elite Visa program.

Applicants currently holding an Education Visa must submit supporting documents for application consideration, including the school establishment license, school registration, student certification from the school, academic records, grade reports, attendance records, and class activity photos if available.

If you stay in Thailand for 180 days or more in a tax year, any foreign income you bring into the country will be taxable. This includes money from jobs, businesses, or properties abroad. Starting January 1, 2024, any foreign income you bring to Thailand will be subject to tax.

If you’ve already paid tax on this income in the country where you earned it, Thailand might offer some tax relief. Thailand has agreements with some countries that might allow you to reduce your tax based on the tax you already paid elsewhere. It’s advisable to contact us for detailed guidance.

According to Section 42, tax residents are permitted to transfer up to 20 million THB to family members and 10 million THB to non-family members tax-free.
