1. November Special Holiday for APEC Thailand 2022
The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is a regional economic forum with 21 member economies across Asia-Pacific region. APEC has its core value of promoting regional economic integration in a non-legally binding manner and a friendly environment. In the now-extended COVID-19 era, APEC has made its utmost effort to adapt and tackle the unprecedented challenges which affect the region’s economic well-being. Thailand as a host of APEC 2022 works with a fresh perspective to ensure that APEC will achieve more balanced, resilient, and sustainable growth. Under the theme “OPEN, CONNECT and BALANCE”, APEC will be strengthened to be more adept, agile, result-oriented, and relevant to the prosperity of our people and businesses.
The APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW) is scheduled on 14 – 19 November 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand, the Government has announced that Wednesday, 16 – Friday, 18 November 2022 is an additional special holiday. This is to reduce traffic and facilitate delegates attending the event.
To avoid any inconvenience that may occur, we would like to suggest you carefully plan if you need to visit the Government offices during 16 – 18 November 2022 details are as follows:
* The Immigration Offices in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan provinces will be closed.
* Elite Personal Liaison (EPL) services will be unavailable during this period.
* The Bank of Thailand for Financial Institutions and Special Financial Institutions (SFIs) is open to provide services as normal.
This may affect members who wish to affix Thailand Elite Visa and members whose due date for the 90-day reporting falls within this period. For our new members who recently joined the Thailand Elite Membership program, it is strongly recommended to affix Thailand Elite Visa at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Phuket International Airport (HKT) upon your international arrival flight, as it is currently the most convenient way to affix Thailand Elite Visa.
To prevent any late reporting and penalty fees, please always check your due date for the 90-day reporting and the stay extension. Kindly be reminded that it is a foreigner’s responsibility to check and ensure that he/she is not overstaying and in due time for 90-day reporting.
2. Thailand Entry Measure from 1 October 2022
Effective 1 October 2022, every international traveler entering Thailand are no longer be required to show proof of vaccination or COVID-19 test result, and a longer length of stay will be on offer. All travelers can freely travel to Thailand. Therefore, we would like to advise members to check with the airlines for travel requirements in case he/she have a transit in a third country before arriving in Thailand. Travel insurance is still highly recommended for your protection to cover your entire trip.
3. The Importance of Your Arrival Stamp
As there are many types of Thai visas, it is important that your arrival stamp must be accurate according to the validity and type of visa. To ensure your hassle-free staying in Thailand, our Elite Personal Assistant (EPA) is always there to check the correctness of your arrival stamp whenever you enter Thailand. In case of the incorrect stamp is noticed by our EPA at the immigration desk, it will be immediately revised. However, please note that in the event of an incorrect arrival stamp was founded after your arrival, a member must correct the arrival stamp at the port of entry.
4. 90-Day Reporting
Please note that Thailand Privilege Card Co. Ltd. Head Office will be closed on 16 – 20 November 2022, and we will be unable to accept passports for the 90-day-reporting on 14 – 18 November 2022.
If your due date for the 90-day reporting is on 12 – 20 November, please follow the instructions below:
For members holding Privilege Entry Visa (PE, gold sticker visa) and living in Bangkok who wish to use our service for the 90-day reporting, please be reminded to bring the following documents to our Head Office;
1. Valid passport with valid Thailand Elite Visa (PE visa)
2. Departure card (TM.6 card) (if any)
3. Previous receipt of notification of 90-day reporting (if any)
4. Completely filled in TM.47 form with your signature (signature must be the same as shown in your passport)
5. Receipt of TM.30 notification*** (with an address in Bangkok only)
***Please make sure that the address written in your TM.47 Form is exactly the same as stated in your Receipt of TM.30 notification.
