Now that the country has reopened to foreign travel, Thailand will no longer ask tourists to provide vaccination documents or any COVID-19 test results, and the Kingdom now allows longer stays.  From October 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023, the term of stay for tourists from visa-exempt countries/territories is increased to 45 days (formerly 30 days) and to 30 days (formerly 15 days) for those qualifying for a visa on arrival.

Most regional and international airlines are going to resume flights to Thailand. Thai Airways International (THAI) recently announced the 2022-2023 winter schedule (October 30, 2022 – March 25, 2023), which will operate flights on 34 European, Australian, and Asian routes with enhanced frequencies on assigned routes.

There would be more local festivals and international events are currently being organized in Thailand, including the well-known Loi Krathong festival, which takes place in places across the country in early November, and the Bangkok Art Biennale (BAB 2022), which features the works of 73 international and local artists and will take place until February 23, 2023.

As the host of APEC 2022, Thailand is hosting several APEC meetings, including the APEC Finance Ministers’ Meeting (FMM) from October 19-21, 2022. The prestigious APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW) on November 14-19, 2022.

“Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is actively trying to guarantee that Thailand will always be the top-of-mind destination for tourists around the globe”

-Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn

The ‘Write Your New Chapter’ TVC was announced to express the Amazing New Chapters concept and engage travelers from across the globe via a cinematic viewpoint, demonstrating that Thailand offers a variety of vacation options for everyone. The objective is to encourage tourists to discover Thailand and create their own chapters, which they can then share with their friends and family and urge them to visit.

Tourism in Thailand is becoming more responsible and sustainable in accordance with the government’s  BCG Economic Model or Bio-Circular-Green. Thailand will continue to be marketed as a world-class tourist destination.
