TUI Nordic Will Continue To Provide Flights from Europe to Phuket

TUI, a European travel giant headquartered in Sweden announced that it will continue its scheduled flights to Phuket during the planned northern winter schedule.

TUI Nordic’s Senior Product Manager, Pontus Svensson told reports that TUI Nordic will continue its services into Phuket and will also gladly reroute TUI travelers through Phuket, where the Sandbox Program is still open for applications.

“Travelers who have booked vacations outside of Phuket will be contacted and provided the option of changing their vacation to Phuket instead – and those who completed their Thailand Pass prior to the changes in restrictions will have their vacation schedule unchanged.”

According to reports, after the suspension of the country’s “Test & Go” tourism program because of the Omicron variant concerns, Europe’s biggest travel company TUI Nordic said that it would cancel scheduled chartered flights to Phuket from December to April next year.  Approximately 30,000 individuals intended to visit the island province.

However, Adam Gyorki, Communications Manager at TUI’s headquarters in Sweden, said that the reports which were initially published in Thailand’s The Nation were untrue.
